As you know Covid has dramatically affected life and in particular online sales and the Music Business. We have never been so busy but due to the temporary closure of the pressing plants stock has been very hard to obtain. Against this backdrop we have tried to source product unavailable in the UK from Europe and the US. We have been fairly successful.
New releases have in many cases been cut back disappointing many fans and I have found it very frustrating as in some cases no product was supplied at all. Whilst I understand the pressing problems, surely stock should be ring fenced for the Indies as it used to be rather than supplied to a giant online retailer, after all it is the Indies that brought back vinyl from the brink.
Anyway, our plans. We will be placing our final orders with the major companies on Wednesday 16th December. We will continue to accept orders after that but our last posting day will be Monday 21st December. Orders placed after the 16th will in most cases be delivered in the New Year.
We will be refunding orders we have been unable to fill or those items not sent as a part filled order.
We will close midday on the 21st December and then reopen Monday 4th January.
