Recorded during a prolific period for Labi and recorded virtually back-to-back with ‘75’s ‘Remember My Song’ (as sampled by Dr Dre for Eminem’s ‘My Name Is…’), ‘Happy’ presented a suite of soaring adventurous songs, that ranged from the dancefloor-friendly to the intimate and romantic. Highlights ranged from the boogie-infused ‘Love-A-Love-A-Love-A-Love-A-Love’ to the beautiful ballad ‘Staride To Nowhere’. (140g sunshine yellow vinyl)
