Overview:
A native of Los Angeles, rapper and producer blackbear - born Matthew Musto – is best known as the songwriter who co-wrote Justin Bieber's smash hit song "Boyfriend," a number two hit on the UK Official Singles Chart in 2012. blackbear also produced the title track for G-Eazy’s debut album “These Things Happen”, as well as writing + producing tracks for acts such as Nick Jonas, Machine Gun Kelly and Linkin Park. blackbear recently released his new album, ‘digital druglord’ through Interscope Records via Alamo Record. The record features the jam ‘Do Re mi’ which has been setting the blogosphere alight. “digital druglord” is the third full-length album from blackbear and is the latest in a body-of-work that includes various self-released EP’s and full length albums via his own label called Bearprint. This includes 2012’s mixtape “Sex”, an R&B-leaning album on which he was joined by fellow "Boyfriend" co-writer Mike Posner, along with James Blake and Maejor Ali. As well as 2015’s Deadroses featuring the well-received singles "IDFC" and "90210" with rapper G-Eazy.
