Vinyl Black Gold

Its hardly surprising that Vinyl is now the new Black Gold toppling Oil from its throne. As predicted vinyl is proving to be an excellent investment with short term returns on some items as much as 1000%!!! Is not just about supply and demand its also about quality. Labels such as Music on Vinyl, Mobile Fidelity, and pressings at RTI or Vinyl Factory who are constantly producing high quality product will no doubt see their prices soar over the next 12 months as items become discontinued. The singles market is also showing huge increases as the cost of new singles continue to spiral upwards. (Look out for the Kate Bush single being released for Record Store Day...a great investment.) Interestingly there are bargains to be had, for example, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Dream On 12 Inch a steal at £3.99. Expect to see it at £9.99 by Christmas. Look out too for exclusives. Runs of 500 albums may sound a lot but if that's the total pressing for the World then you are going to have a great investment once the stock has sold through. Finally, lets no loose track of the real reason to buy vinyl, its just the best format and it should be played not just stock in a box to sell in 12 months time.
