Overview:
After the big breakthrough with her debut album, Anouk released her follow-up album Urban Solitude in 1999. This album found Anouk incorporating ska into the first single “R U Kiddin' Me”, as well as exploring hip-hop and funk on tracks like “The Dark” and “Don't”. Alongside the aforementioned three singles, the album included one more single, “Michel”, which became the most successful single of the album. “Michel” was critically well-received, earned much radio support and became an instant classic in Dutch music history. Not long after its release, Urban Solitude was certified Platinum in the Netherlands and Gold in Belgium.
Urban Solitude is available as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on moss green coloured vinyl and includes a 6-page booklet with lyrics.
