Electronica pioneer Howard Jones' new album 'Transform' is released to coincide with a full UK and US tour. The album is his first true pop album release in over 10 years, and is the first assemblage of new material since the fan-funded multi-media experience 'ENGAGE', released in 2015. Produced by Howard and long term collaborator Robbie Bronnimann, 'Transform' also features three collaborations with ground-breaking electronica luminary BT (All Hail The Silence), including title track 'Transform'. After millions of albums sold and 15 top-40 global singles, the latter career of Howard Jones has been one of further progression, and not resting on laurels. As with the 80s when Howard was integrating cutting edge analog synths and samplers of the era (including now-classic Roland, Moog, Simmons, and Emulator keyboards), the hunger to keep up with today's production and composition technology has pushed the trailblazer to spawn some of his most forward thinking material to date. Creative freedom has always been at the forefront for Howard, yet in addition to embracing new progressive technology, he is not scared to visit moments of simplicity or take inspiration from the retro-futuristic sounds of his early day's career. Serene solo piano tracks have once again appeared on record ('Mother'), showcasing his classical upbringing, whilst the 80s inspired sounds he helped popularise are explored in all their upbeat glory. 'Transform' covers such a diverse yet cohesive range of sounds that upon first listen it becomes immediately obvious that this is the product of an artist with a wealth of history, knowledge and fundamental understanding of their own ability. Transform is released on CD , 180 gram Vinyl and as a deluxe double disc media-Book. The second disc contains extended remixes, “I always enjoyed the 12” mixes we released in the 80's and I thought it would be fun to give some of these tunes the same treatment for the 2nd CD in the media book.” Says Howard.
