This exquisite LP box set presents the first five 10” vinyl LP albums on which Miles Davis appeared as a leader for Prestige Records (1951 – 1954). Faithfully reproduced on 10” vinyl, with the original 10” LP cover artwork and liner notes included, this deluxe boxed set also includes an accompanying booklet featuring insightful new liner notes by noted jazz historian, Ira Gitler. Mr Gitler was a Prestige staffer back in the early 50’s and he was also author of the original liner notes for many of these 10” LP’s.
