Inspired by the likes of Wilco, Cold War Kids, Fleet Foxes, and Big Thief, the collective found common creative ground during their time at one of Australia’s most prestigious music schools, Elder Conservatorium of Music. The band was awarded the Helpmann Academy’s “Creative Innovator” grant, which enabled them to support the rollout of their independent full-length LP, The Modern Shoe is Ruining the Foot, in 2024. Their music gradually picked up steam, most notably landing on Three D Radio’s annual 93+7 List, sparking recognition across their homeland and elsewhere."
