This year we celebrate 30 years of Safe + Sound, the third studio album of DJ Quik. Quik created a real G-Funk classic. With The Chronic and Doggystyle the world already received two big classics in the genre, and people might have thought the genre was on his way back. But Quik proved them wrong and managed to add his own personal twist to the genre with his summerly party sound that makes you want invite all your friends and throw a BBQ party right away. The album reached #14 in the Billboard Top 200 and had the title track enter the Single Chart. Safe + Sound is available as a 30th anniversary edition of individually numbered copies on translucent red coloured vinyl
