Who would have thought that a few years after Stone Gossard andMookie Blaylock playing their first show opening for the band that would become Green Apple Quick Step, GAQS’ssophomore album would be recorded in the Pearl Jam guitarist’s home studio. But, that’s exactly what happened . . .Reloaded, originally released in 1995, was produced by Gossard and multiple Grammy winner Nick DiDia (BruceSpringsteen, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine). The album’s first single, “Dizzy,” was featuredboth in the film The Basketball Diaries, and on its soundtrack—sitting alongside tracks from The Doors, Soundgarden, JimCarroll, and The Cult. CMJ New Music Monthly wrote that the “alterna-rock promise of [Wonderful Virus—their debut] inno way hints at the leaps and bounds by which the band seems to have grown, or the unexpected paths Reloadedfollows.” Finally, 30 years later, Reloaded gets reintroduced, remastered on white vinyl and is also included on the doubleCD Dizzy: The Medicine Label Anthology. Its missing status on wax has been rectified, and Reloaded is ready to beloaded onto your turntable.
