Joe Satriani is a world-famous guitar virtuoso who started out as an instructor for many other guitar virtuosos such as Steve Vai and Metallica's Kirk Hammett. In the mid-80s he started a successful solo career but also played for Mick Jagger in 1988 and Deep Purple in 1993, as well as supergroups G3 and Chickenfoot.
