UMC are proud to announce two Original Motion Pictures Score's presented on limited edition picture discs to be released OCtober 19th.
Ice Age In his 25 year career, David Newman has scored over 100 films, ranging from War of the Roses, Matilda, Bowfinger and Heathers, to the more recent Girls Trip and Tarzan. Newman’s orchestral score served as a perfect foil for the unlikely group of a mammoth, sloth, and tiger traversing the Earth because of the planet’s shifting climate; and a squirrel’s desire for the ever elusive acorn.
Shrek An incredibly fun animation score full of pure fun and adventure. Flutes, cellos, powerful choirs, danger and triumph. A rare collaboration between two very significant film composers. John Powell has become perhaps the most accomplished composer of animated films, having recorded the score for How to Train Your Dragon, Ice Age, Rio, Kung Fu Panda and more. Powell as also helmed the Jason Bourne films and handled the music duties for the latest Star Wars film, Solo. Harry Gregson-Williams garnered numerous awards and nominations for his work on The Narnia Chronicles, and has helmed many other lauded franchises such as Spy Kids, The Equalizer and X-Men.
