Cinema Serenade is an album by John Williams and Itzhak Perlman, featuring orchestral performances of famous and notable film themes, with Perlman's violin at the forefront. The album presents new arrangements of scores from composers that made a lasting impact on the world of cinema, with a special touch by Williams and Perlman on these cinematic gems. Amongst others, it features work by Michel Legrand, Elmer Bernstein, John Barry, André Previn and John Williams himself.

All the work on this album is conducted by Williams and performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. It also features exclusive liner notes from well-known film critic, musicologist and professor Royal S. Brown, presented on the back of the sleeve. Cinema Serenade provides a collection of unique film arrangements, perfect for the film music fan.
