Firstly, I would like to thank you for your support over the past year.
Christmas and New Year are always a difficult time. Many last minute orders, many items going out of stock and of course the Post!!!
This year we saw many established Internet traders and High Street Music Retailers go into administration or go out of buisness altogether.
This produced a two edge sword for us, yes we got much more orders, almost 8 times as many but it put pressure on our resources. Many items were going out of stock and on re ordering we were finding they were deleted.
Even more pressure when a well known Internet retailer advised its customers on the 19th December a major release which they had took orders for was not being stocked and we immediately received over 300 orders for this item in one 24 hour period.
And being delivered just before and after Christmas, Nel Young Live at Massey Hall and the Van Morrison 180gram releases all of which had to be despatched.
To cut to the chase, we totally filled and got 92% of all orders placed. We part filled a further 4%. We are attempting to fill or refund the other 4%.
Early indications are that lost in the post is running at about 3%, received damaged 0.25% and returned to us not called for or wrong address 4.5%.
We are not perfect but we do try our hardest. If you are one of those customers who have experienced problems then a big apology from us all here.
