Todd Rundgren Todd Limited Gatefold 180gram Vinyl 2LP Set

Overview:
Limited edition 180-gram gatefold double LP

Mastered by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios

An acid-tinged, double-length set that successfully mixes emotive pop ballads, quirky novelty songs, and dirge-like rock anthems with an array of sound textures — almost as colorful as his hair at the time!

As founding member of the premiere late sixties power pop rockers Nazz, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter and producer Todd Rundgren was barely in his 20's when he began his long solo journey with success as one of the music industry's most prolific and celebrated rock artists.

For his fifth album Todd (1973), the legendary Todd Rundgren delivered a double album complete with 17 stellar performances. As with many of his solo albums, Rundgren wrote a majority of the tracks, plays most of the instruments, sings and handles productions duties.

"How About A Little Fanfare" opens the hypnotic prog-rock masterpiece while hits such as "A Dream Goes On Forever" and solid cuts like "I Think You Know," kick things into high gear. The set is rounded out by the Philly soul ballad "The Last Ride," the guitar driven "Everybody's Going To Heaven/King Kong Reggae," the iconic "Heavy Metal Kids," the future electronica of "In And Out The Chakras We Go," the soulful pop of "Izzat Love" and the superlative album closer "Sons of 1984."

As the newest installment in Friday Music's career spanning Todd Rundgren 180 Gram Vinyl Series, the label is pleased to offer up a limited edition pressing of his 1973 masterwork Todd, mastered by Joe Reagoso at Friday Music Studios and housed in a gatefold cover with original LP cover artwork, photos and lyrics.
