Quatro, Scott & Powell Self Titled Limited Deluxe Vinyl LP
Overview:
Legendary Queen of Rock, Suzi Quatro is partnering with rock legends Andy Scott (Sweet) and Don Powell (Slade) for a super-group collaboration.
Quatro is one of the most famous woman rock stars around. Since her debut album in 1973, she’s released a vast amount of albums and the #1 hits Can the Can and Devil Gate Drive. Scott was the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the 70s glam rock band Sweet. During his time with Sweet, they achieved a #1 with Block Buster! as well as five #2 singles. Powell has been the ever-present drummer for Slade from 1969, a band which recorded six #1 singles as well as 17 consecutive top 20 hits, making them the most successful British group of the 1970s in terms of sales of singles.
This super-group album contains a mix of their own original songs and covers, creating something that Quatro says they are “all very proud of”. The covers include Bob Dylan’s Just Like A Woman from 1966, Slow Down by Larry Williams and the classic blues song Bright Lights, Big City.
