SEX PISTOLS ANARCHY IN OCTOBER To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Sex Pistols Never Mind The Bollocks Album EMI/Virgin have announced a fantastic series of vinyl releases.
Overview:
The Sex Pistols weren't part of a movement. They defined a movement. They set off a musical earthquake, the aftershocks of which are still being felt to this day and to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of ‘Never Mind The Bollocks... Here's The Sex Pistols’, Virgin are proud to announce a series of vinyl re-issues.

Faithfully re-creating all the original artwork from the first editions’ front, back and onbody, and housed in unfinished heavy-weight paper sleeves, the 4 classic singles from the album will be released once a week through October 2007 in limited edition. Jamie Reid’s artwork has become arguably as legendary as the music, and these limited edition vinyl sleeves will of course feature the 100% black ‘Anarchy In The UK’ paper sleeve, the iconic Queen’s head of ‘God Save The Queen’, the smashed picture frame of ‘Pretty Vacant’ and the lyrical cartoon strip of ‘Holidays In The Sun’.

The series of re-issues will culminate in the release of ‘Never Mind The Bollocks…Here’s The Sex Pistols’ in heavy weight vinyl with a 7" insert of Submission and poster - just as the album was originally released on October 28th 1977. This format came about when the original vinyl album was released a week earlier than planned due to French imports, and Submission was missed off. The band rightly insisted that the track be included, so the first 50,000 copies included a one sided 7” without any mention on the rear sleeve.
