|Gazpacho Molok Limited Gatefold 180gram Vinyl 2LP Set
Following 2014's lauded album Demon, Gazpacho are set to release their ninth studio album Molok, the sixth in a series of concept records that started with the critically acclaimed Night in 2007.
Recorded at Krypton Sound Planet studios in Oslo, the self-produced album will be mixed by Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah, Soilwork, Dimmu Borgir).
Molok features guest musicians Stian Carstensen from the eclectic group Farmers Market on accordion and ethnic instruments, and music archaeologist Gjermund Kollveit playing the aga stone (the oldest known instrument ever to be featured on a CD).
Kscope will be releasing Molok as gatefold double LP on black 180g vinyl with a MP3 download code included, as well as continuing the process of re-mastering the Gazpacho back catalogue specifically for release on heavyweight vinyl.
The album sees the band continue to push the boundaries for creating the most complicated and strangest concepts for a record while simultaneously becoming the first band ever who are actively trying to destroy the universe with their album.
A small code that sounds like a strange noise at the end of the album will cause the correction software that runs in all CD players to generate a random number every time the CD is played. If that number should correspond to the actual position of all electrons in the universe then technically the universe could be destroyed.
