| Rickie Lee Jones (Rickie Lee Jones) Deluxe 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl LP Remastered From the Original Master Tapes This Audiophile Classic is a Stunning Album and the Sound is Remarkable! Rickie Lee Jones' self-titled 1979 debut is one of the most impressive debuts for a singer/songwriter ever! This infectious mixture of styles not only features a strong collection of original songs but it also showcases a one-of-a-kind singer with a savvy, distinctive voice that can be streetwise, childlike and sophisticated, sometimes all in the same song. Includes the hits "Chuck E's in Love" and "Young Blood," as well as "Danny's All-Star Joint" and "Coolsville" which are just as good. Finally getting the true-Audiophile treatment here, the album was cut by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Grey from the original tapes and you can be assured that you will not find a better sounding copy of this album anywhere! Track listing 1. Chuck E's in Love 2. On Saturday Afternoons in 1963 3. Night Train 4. Young Blood 5. Easy Money 6. The Last Chance Texaco 7. Danny's All-Star Joint 8. Coolsville 9. Weasel and the White Boys Cool 10. Company Johnson, Jones 11. After Hours (Twelve Bars Past Goodnight) This is a 180g audiophile vinyl release. In contrast to many LP releases that are mastered from fifth or sixth generation copies, the original master tapes were used to master this album, resulting in a sound which is much more faithful to the original recording. Furthermore, very high quality 180g weight vinyl has been used (rather than recycled vinyl as with many standard pressings), resulting in a very quiet playing surface with superior detail and dynamics, resulting in a much more pleasurable listening experience. This is arguably the best sounding release of this album available, surpassing the sonic quality of standard LP and CD releases. Includes high quality original artwork sleeve and labels. In our opinion, this is one of the best sounding releases available, on par with the superb and now very rare Nimbus Supercut pressing. Highly recommended. |
